I Got Things #2

My Kindle Case      After working out which Kindle I wanted, the next big task was to find a case to protect it. I had an idea of what I wanted and that was a basic book cover design. I didn't realise how hard it would be. There are hundreds of designs but all had a similar shape and none where in a shape of a book. The ones I did find were either not to my taste or was not in production any more.      It wasn't until I came across a website called  notonthehighstreet.com . Which sold for a company called  klevercase . The company produce handmade covers for a variety of gadgets. The catch is that it's homemade. The price is a tad more than the usual covers. But after purchasing one, it was worth it.       As you can see I went for the book style I wanted, with a olde Elizabethan look.                            The other great thing is you can personalise the spine, with your own book title. I chose 'Andrew's Multive

Stuff That I Have Watched

The Red Turtle by Studio Ghibli     I watched The Red Turtle mainly because I just love anything made by Studio Ghibli. Thay have done some amazing work with things like Princess Mononoke and Howl's Moving Castle. But after watching this film all I can think is, the character of the Red Turtle is... She's an evil bitch! If you haven't seen this film yet. There will be spoilers.    The film is visually pleasing and for a non verbal movie, the story is easy to follow and to understand. But you might not get the under lining story of kidnapping and stockholm syndrome.     The film starts with a man waking up on a desert island. He spends his time trying to escape the island by building rafts. But each time he attempts this, his rafts gets destroyed. He later finds out that a giant red turtle is the cause of this. He is, of course, pissed. Until one day he notices the turtle comes to shore. He "kills" the turtle by flipping the turtle

My Kindle Paperwhite        So if you read my blog you know that in February I treated myself to an early birthday present. That present was a Kindle Paperwhite. I had spent years trying to ignore they existed. Believing that the book was the only way to go. The feel, the smell of the paper in it's true form is the greatest thing in the world. Although this is maybe true, I thought fuck it and decided to go for it. And the fact that my sister and my brother in law went mad over theirs.      After a few days of research. Reading reviews and watching a few videos. I decided on the Kindle Paperwhite. I chose this mainly for the back light. This was because I wanted to be able to read at any time of the day and not have to rely on another light source or attach a light to the reader.       So what is it like? It is really an enjoyable experience. The first thing I notice, after setting up the device and started reading, was that the screen felt like I w
