I Don't Like People

February 2018       On the 1st of February I received a call from the hospital telling me they had a cancellation for a surgery and was wondering if I would take the spot. I wasn't sure if I could, due to work. So I ask them to call back in an hour so I can make a couple of calls to say yes or no. I first got in contact with my father in law. As I will need his services as an ambulance driver, being that I wouldn't be able to ride my motorcycle or drive anything, to the hospital and home again. Plus it's frowned upon by the hospital due the heavy medication I would be on. He said he would help. I then got in contact with work and they told me to go for it.      An hour had passed and the hospital called again and I told them that the surgery could go ahead. The secretary seemed shocked at first that I had said yes. Then proceeded with confirming the appointment. I had asked them to send me an email letter confirming the date so I would have something to give to my manager

Christmas 2017         It was pretty much like any other day off from work. Myself and the wife had gone to bed after watching some telly and having some food. As usual I went to bed a little later than the missus and got up before she did. The presents were under the Christmas tree and everything was quite. Apart from whatever I was watching on the computer.         I had decided to put my pork joint on early as the wife doesn't really like the smell of the meat. I didn't have a turkey, as tradition dictates. I don't mind it. It's just I don't have time and patience to spend a few hours making sure it doesn't come out dry. The wife woke up wondering what the smell was.   After the wife had finished moaning about the pork she went into Christmas mode. Acting like any typical kid on Christmas morning. Christmas Eve 2017.    After the motorbike show I continued with the usual routine of work, sleep and eat.      I had received a phone call from my mother saying that there wouldn't be a family Christmas dinner this year as my stepfather and brother would both be working on christmas day. They both worked as security guards. This made my wife happy, as she had been wanting to have a Christmas day to ourselves for a long time. So to have Christmas day to ourselves we had to get everything sorted on Christmas eve. As I worked nights I had to fit in a few hours kip, going around and giving out presents at my mum's, my sisters, my brother and spend some time with the father in law.      I managed to get off early in the morning. So after I so able to get a few more hours sleep. It was time to make the rounds and after putting the presents in the van. First stop was my brother. Hello again. I wanted to write down and tell you what I have been up to the last five or six months until present. I will start on the 29th October 2017 as it ends with a bonus later in November.    My wife wanted to learn how ride a scooter. So I looked around searching to borrow or loan a bike out for the day to give her some experience. Which would lead to her finally deciding whether she would like to continue with her dream, of owning a Vespa. She had set her sites on a classic model.  Then one day I stumbled upon a company called Get On . They spend the year going around the country, giving free one hour lessons. I believe they have now changed it to forty-five minutes. This gives anyone wanting to learn or get back in to riding a motorcycle or scooter, a basic C.B.T course.       First time we went they refused my wife because she hadn't ridden a bicycle before and sent us away.   A couple of weeks ago I turned 40... I am scared in the fact I am one year closer to death. I don't want to die. I am not scared of going to hell or anything religious, I am an Atheist. I am scared of the nothing. I know I will be dead and I will not notice or feel anything. But that's the whole point. The Nothing. Not existing. Not doing anything for the rest of eternity. This seriously freaks me out. So scientist, hurry the fuck up and make us immortal already!      The next best thing to do is to try and immortalise myself in another medium. I have chosen blogging. I was thinking maybe motovlogging, but I am too shy and lazy to spend my life doing that and besides I don't ride enough to justify a vlog. I also don't like the sound of my own voice.     So here I am, behind a keyboard. Writing my thoughts down. Fair enough my words won't effect the world in a big way or in any way. But if it could help any body, in a real way. I will be happy with that.      So
